IBPS PO exam is conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) on an annual basis. Every year lakhs of bank job aspirants appear for this exam as it provides them with the opportunity to serve as probationary officers in Indian public sector banks.


The IBPS PO commands a decent in-hand salary of Rs 23,700 per month. The annual gross income commanded by a bank PO initially is around 5.5 lakhs per annum, which is inclusive of all the allowances. After serving a one to two-year probation or training period, the salary may increase depending upon the respective bank’s policies.
